The aim of the course is to enable existing and new members of Corus of coke oven plant staff to develop technically alongside the plant and process personnel, and to alert course members to new developments within the industry, to make them aware of the needs and requirements of adjacent processes, and to enable them to achieve high operating standards and meet future pollution requirements.
Key topics cover carbonisation fundamentals, coke oven plant design and operation, by-product plant design and operation, coke oven repair techniques, instrumentation and control, and coke quality with links to the operation of the blast furnace. |
