| The training objectives of the course are to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental science and technology involved in the continuous casting process. The courses are modular, each course is tailored to suit individual client needs, with the level of complexity adjusted to match the target group, from process operatives up to caster management. Modules include; Mould design - heat extraction - oscillation, Mould lubrication, Secondary cooling - spray layout design - steel ductility, Strand support, roll layout and roll design, Concast defects and their effect on final product. Taught modules are fully documented in a course book and reinforced by participation of trainees in computer based syndicate exercises.
