![]() Life as we know it wouldn’t exist without computers. But, if they are not sited and used correctly they can cause inefficiency and can even be a risk to health. Everyone from data input clerks, personal secretaries and process controllers use computers, which is why our Working with VDUs course ensures that they will know how to arrange their workstations and their work in a way that reduces risks to health. It also enables employers to establish how each workstation measures up to the legal requirements. As required by European Regulations, the program provides training in the proper set up and use of workstations. The second module is an analysis of the workstation to enable the manager responsible to ensure that the workstation meets the Regulations. As well as guiding you through the basics of your keyboard and providing useful tips on the use and care of mice and laptops, this computer based package also gives the opportunity to work through a workstation assessment. The assessment produces a detailed, printed report highlighting any measures needed to comply with the legislation. By following the simple guidelines you can reduce any ill effects and promote a healthy, more comfortable workingenvironment. Study time: 2 hours | |
