Addressing the real needs of people working in the steel industry, this multimedia package is used by Corus to provide both technical and commercial personnel with an understanding of the fundamentals of the subject, enabling them to appreciate issues in the production and application of steel.

The five module course includes the following subjects: underlying principles of physics and chemistry; crystalline nature of steel; application of iron-carbon phase diagrams; modern heat treatment techniques; physical properties and applications; British and European systems of steel design.
