 This course explains why the correct use of fasteners is vital and describes the theory behind their use. The main areas covered include common fastener problems, methods of solving fastener problems, correct procedures when using fasteners and the theory behind the use of various fasteners. The course looks at the types of faults to check for, the correct tightening techniques, identification of various types of bolts, washers and nuts together with the type of surfaces that should be in contact with each other in certain applications.
