Furnace Control Systems
The Corus Technology Centres have considerable experience of developing furnace computer control systems incorporating multi-tasking, real-time, monitoring and control programs with individual site tailoring.
On-line stock heating models calculate the temperature distribution for each piece in the furnace, and this is used to calculate zone temperature set points. These are downloaded to dedicated plant controllers, ensuring consistent stock condition on discharge at minimum energy consumption.
