Coke Oven Crosswall Monitoring System
Peak temperatures of coke mass are reached as it is pushed from the oven.
These temperatures are closely related to flue temperatures and enable adjustments to be made to the underfiring gas.
Pyrometers are used to measure the coke temperatures on up to three horizontal levels and this data is pre-processed prior to being transmitted via a low power radio telemetry link from the coke car to a fixed base station.
