Corus uses coal from all over the world to produce coke of the right size and strength, especially chosen for its petrographic and coking properties.
We offer a Leica image analysis system to measure coal reflectance, a technique that permits a rapid and accurate assessment of coal reflectance distribution and shows the maceral composition of both individual coals and coal blends. We also provide standard pilot-scale tests necessary for coal blend evaluation and a pilot-scale coke oven to monitor wall pressure during carbonisation
