Services F.A.Q's
The most frequently asked questions regarding record centre archiving services.
How can I arrange a collection?
Upon agreeing to our terms and conditions and signing a storage licence agreement (call for more details), you will be issued with you first free record centre stationary, which consists of:
- Large archive boxes (37 x 27 x 25)
- Small archive boxes (39 x 30 x 13)
- Drawing archive boxes
- Record centre security tape
- Transmittal lists
After you have compiled and prepared your boxes for transfer and submitted your completed transmittal list to us, a member of our staff will contact you to arrange a date and time of collection. (Terms apply call for details)
What if I need something back?
If you require anything extracted from a box or even an entire box, a simple phone call, E-Mail or fax with your unique departmental code and details of which box and the contents you require is all we need. A member of our staff will then contact you when the extraction is complete and inform you of when to expect your retrieval to arrive.
What happens when my archives reach the end of their shelf life?
When your records reach the end of their retention period the record centre will issue you with a destruction certificate, enquiring whether you want the archives destroyed or kept for longer. All destruction certificates must be signed authorised and returned to the record centre, we will not destroy any archives without signed authority to do so. When the authorisation process is complete the archives are then extracted from our shelves and securely shredded by our disposal waste management contractors and then recycled to help the environment.
