How secure will my records be?

Firstly the building itself has an intruder alarm system, which includes:

• Magnetic door contact on all access points.
• P.I.R. (Passive Infra Red) movement detectors, that are strategically placed throughout the entire building
• Anti Vibration Alarm which covers the exterior walls of the building.

Corus Colors, Shotton site has its own on-site security force, the intruder alarm system is connected directly to the security gatehouse, situated 200 yards away. The security team man both road access points from the gatehouses and also perform routine foot patrols around the site. A monitored CCTV network also covers the entire site.

Is there fire protection?

Sprinkler systems are located within the storage facility racking system, roof space, offices areas and amenities. Smoke detection is provided by a VESDA (very early smoke detection alarm system) and heat detection beam masters. Fire extinguishers and fire hose reel points are situated throughout the building. Corus Colors, Shotton site has its own on-site fire fighting team for quick response and the alarm system is linked to the local fire authorities, Queensferry fire station, situated less than three miles away. The record centre is strictly a no smoking premises.

How safe will my data be during transport?

You archives will be collected from your business premises by our record centre collection teams. These members of staff our uniformed, for identification purposes, and travel in unmarked vehicles. If for any reason the record centre collection teams are unable to collect your archives our preferred courier of choice will be instructed to collect from your premises.
