Fluid and gas media services

These include the following areas of activity: hydraulic power supply and distribution, hot product hydraulic de-scaling, machinery water cooling, product spray cooling, grease and oil lubrication as well as pneumatic power and gas (argon, nitrogen, oxygen, propane, coke oven gas) distribution.

These systems vary in size, but often tend to be large scale due to the industrial nature of the steelmaking plants with which CPE are involved.

Some typical recent projects include:

• Hydraulic, lubrication and water services on all continuous casting machine equipment
• Complete machine services on the Corus Llanwern caster 2, inc. water plant, hydraulics etc.
• Bath Agitation (gas system) at Corus' Scunthorpe plant
• Complete machine services on Corus' Teesside pilot plant
• Complete machine services on a slab enhancement at Corus' Scunthorpe plant inc. water, hydraulics and lubrication etc.
