CPE to supply hydraulic oscillator system for continuous casting machine at VISL (India)

The contract includes the design, procurement, works test, delivery and commissioning of the mould hydraulic oscillator system and related control equipment, which will drive the mould table on the continuous caster. The scope of supply includes hydraulic actuators; software design, oscillation control PLC’s and basic design. Concast (India) Ltd. will design and supply the interconnecting pipework long with the rest of the casting machine.

The caster oscillator system operates so as to lift and lower the casting mould during the casting process. Without the use of this type of oscillation system, the process of changing ‘stroke’ during casting is not possible and hence its reliability is critical.

The hydraulic oscillator system will be delivered to Concast India who will install it. Once this is complete, CPE engineers will assist in the site and system commissioning. We will also provide training for VISL operators.”
